Well guys, its been a nice adventure but it looks like we'll all be out of a job in a few years... Animoto If they can add some growing vines, iPod trails, and bird wings and we're all on the streets! As an aside it is a pretty impressive little app!

Oddly enough, I had a job come in about a month ago from a client that tried this, and thought it was way too canned and predictable.

Wasn't Motion going to put us all out of a job too?
Does anyone really read these signatures?

I would have re-branded the product as Floating Box Factory!

Mmm... floating boxes.

I am not impressed by what I saw. I wouldn't worry. To me this is just a glorified slideshow presentation. It was boring to me.

Ah.... there you go! Nothing to worry about! ..... yet! lol! It's an evolving industry. I'm going into this knowing that in 5 years, I'm going to have to adapt to something new to keep up. Always evolving.

Do you think those automated logo creator software apps will ever be smart enough to come up with something like this?

Don't diss UK design - some of the best in the world - e.g. this corker for a venerated political party, and no, they aren't short of money... (sorry embed won't work)

That is not going to put me out of a job. Not to sound bigheaded or anything but If someone wants capitalistic quality like that then they are not coming to me anyway. That looks like grass valley transitions!

Just in case it slipped by- there was a tone of sarcasm in my comment. While this certainly isn't a professional tool I will absolutely use it the next time someone asks me to make their wedding slideshow. ^_^

Hahaha... Funny, I was just thinking that it could be good for that sort of thing. Consumers would be dazzled by this. I bet you this is also going to get a lot of use by kids in highschool who want to score that "A" for their history presentation.

Damn, if only I had thought of that floating box trick first!!!!!
-Seriously, I started on motion before switching to AE, there's only so much you can do with packaged presets.
I might start worrying when the computing power starts to equal the human mind...but, by the time that hits the consumer market, I will hopefully have retired

Well I read an article on Scientific American that says that computing power will begin to equal the human mind around 2050. I think we're good to go.

I don't know, if that demo movie had included a few more transitions like barn doors and clock wipes I reckon they're onto something.

Well, then I guess I'm lucky I learned a decent profession before turning into an AE/ Adobe nerd. ;-)

Oh i have great confidence in the human mind.

Thinking about
the "creative input" we often get from clients,
or how some people manage to fuck up the most fool prove templates( for print, web, tv) in a away that only humans can imagine.

No no i have great faith in the future :-D

Has anybody tried it out? Like is it editible? Because what if there's 1 picture that the client wants to switch around or scale up or have a different transition. Clients ask me to change things ALL the time... they like the "tweak" control and if you can't change stuff, then this software won't really be big.

...Sounds like something out of a herpes commercial where some lady is rock climbing or doing something else which symbolizes her independence, then out of nowhere she blurts out "I HAVE HERPES." The music gets all serious and you hear a voice over "...there is no cure," cue inspirational music "but treatment is available." Then it cuts to a shot of the bitch on a beach and a guy runs up behind her and puts his arms around her. Good job dumbass, you're dating a skank with herpes. - Maddox.
