There's a lot of sweet ass work in Maxon's latest reel. The vfx work in particular seems to really stand out. There's also a clip that I can only describe as mograph (module) porn. I'll let you find it for yourself. Looks like they didn't enable streaming, so loading takes a while, but it's well worth the wait!

Nice link. I loved the bits for TV Land by Buck. Ain't gonna make me leave Blender for the time being though.

not so eye-catchy to me.
for some unknown reason, works that are done in c4d have a bit of a dim looking in general.
just an opinion, no offense. maybe with vr for c4d thing will get better soon.

i don't like that demo reel at all. maybe they aren't asking the right people for examples.

there are surely a couple nice things in there, but the rest is just kinda sucky. way too much focus on the mograph module. not to mention the whole "night with the king" movie was rendered in renderman, which up until R11 was not possible really. so some crazy programmers had to get that connection working in R10.

note that up until R11, GI animation was not really a possibility either. Now with R11, it's possible, but many are having troubles with it, including me.

now why would they not have Vray for C4d samples in there? nothing in there looked like a vray rendering. big mistake.

the whole "night with the king" movie was rendered in renderman, which up until R11 was not possible really. so some crazy programmers had to get that connection working in R10.

It wasn't publicaly available, but studios and customers under special contract had access to Cineman since R10, just like with projection man.

Wow! That was all quite brilliant! There's a strength in the on-screen shotlist, too. Its less arty, but more professionally impressive. Its crazy long. But I think that's okay in this case.
