After Effects (OR) Combustion which one to choose

Hai guys

I'm new to the field. Just stepping into the CG world. I would like to go for visual effects and animation. The output will be used as input in Flash for websites. Later i'll be using the same s/w for adding effects to 3dmax.

I'm confused which software to use either AE or Combustion. I cant study both. HELP ME!!!

I'll stay out of the conversation about which you should use, since I have a clear bias. However, I will direct you to this page of getting-started resources about After Effects to show that there are plenty of materials available for you to learn After Effects if you decide to go that route.
