New to Mograph

I'm new to Mograph and I just wanted to say hey.
I just wanted to ask where can we post or find inspiration on mograph.net? Also, is it possible to post a thread about some inspirational work, and then discuss techniques as to how it was produced?
A bit about me...
I am a multimedia designer from South Africa, I studied a BA in multimedia design... then I left with my gf to Belgrade Serbia where we freelanced for a year.
I managed to create 3 commercials for TV using an extremely low budget, and did a bit of other freelance work before finding the job I have now, which is in Gibraltar.
I work for PokerStrategy.com, online poker school, however I am an in-house motion designer producing:
Events coverage videos (from VIP events in Germany, which I am lucky enough to attend and help film, as well as edit and produce)
Interviews (using a DIY blue screen)
Animated intro's (For educational poker videos, I produce a fun and quirky intro)
Advertising (Have done TV campaigns in Romania, Portugal, France, & Bulgaria)
& other in-house required videos as well as photography.
Anyway i'ts not my 1st choice for a video designer to be, I'd rather be in a production studio receiving creative direction daily, but then again I am lucky because I have entire freedom. So I learn how to achieve what people want on my own I guess...
To keep my mind happy, I do alot of work in my free time... Currently I'm producing a music video which I filmed myself, but it's free (I want it in my portfolio more than anything), and other animated projects...
Looking forward to getting to know everyone, and most importantly learning as much as I can!
Thx for reading!
Regards
Kyle

re: cyanseahorse. I mean, just something about calling yourself a name which is a combination of real words, makes you sound really 5 year oldish... I dunno. Especially if its not derogatory. Like If it was PukingSeaHorse or FartingSeaMonkey, or anything with a bit of flavor. Would'nt even pay attention to it. But CyanSeaHorse, just sounds wierd on this forum...
Cool video samples, much better way to introduce yourself.
Do you actually Live in Gibraltar? I was considering moving there. How is the cost of living there?

Yes I live in gibraltar, cost of living is only high because of rent, its advisable to live in spain and work in gibraltar.
Rent in gib : crap studio apartment = £550 - £650
decent 1-bed apt = £700 and up
Rent in spain : 3 bedroom villa = 600 euros
Internet : around £40 p/m for 4mbit
3 course meal : for one person in a top notch restaurant would be around £20 - £30 depending on your tastes.
Advantages :
certain tax free laws, so no sin tax, cigs and beer is way cheaper than the rest of Europe.
country profits off the gaming industry and tourism mainly.
disadvantages:
pollution from southern spain (thanks to franco), living 5 min from the town of la linea (highest area of unemployement in spain),
its the only place in the world where you have to cross a runway to enter, so twice a day theres a queue at the border while a plane lands / takes off.
You can only fly directly to gibraltar via UK, best way otherwise is to fly to Malaga.
a vozzz is the first letters of my unreasonably long first name, and then the z is repeated coz most places need atleast 5 characters in your username, When they need 6 its vozzza.
re: cyanseahorse. I mean, just something about calling yourself a name which is a combination of real words, makes you sound really 5 year oldish..
I think justifying yourself and using sarcasm to degrade something which means little or nothing to you, sounds way more immature than my nick on a forum. I'd like to know in what schools do you learn the color Cyan at the age of 5, I certainly didn't know it then. You prefer a name which is made up and I prefer real words, something about the flow of the english language that im grateful for.
Its just preference.
Let me know if you are interested in coming to gibraltar and I'll do my best to help where I can.

Thanks for the info on gibraltar. That seems like a no go for me. In budapest i get a luxury one bedroom for $550 and 4mbps internet is kinda prohibitive for my type of work. i get 50mbps here for like $30 a month.
But if i come visit ill definitly let you know.

"Nah, you were a dick to me on the internet"

Haha. It was worth reading this thread just to get to this.
Welcome CyanSeaHorse. I have no issues with your name.
But then again, I have no 'innanet rep'.

Most people live across the border in spain and commute to work, can get a 3-bed villa for 500 euros for example, especially considering again, you're living in a holiday destination.

Heh, thanks!

epic!
since I have a few of you here, wanted to ask if any of you guys are freelance motion artists?
