Nice selection of work, a good range of different stuff(whos is that music video by the way?), but im not sure about your music choice. I know you might be going for a quirky or alternative feel for your reel, but that sound doesnt really complement your work the whole way through, i found it kinda boaring near the end. It works quite good as an intro, or for the first half, but i was waiting for a breakdown into something more energetic near the end. But anyways that could be just be me, but i reackon it would be worth trying to mix sumthing else in halfway through.

anyways nice work

i love that audio.
i found myself, however, paying more attention to what they were saying and missed the visuals. when i want to look at the visuals, i have to try to block out the audio. it's easier to ignore someone singing along with a song, but when someone is speaking i feel compelled to listen. i would say to use that audio for something that goes along with what they're talking about - i think it would be really powerful.

also take a look at the overall pacing and rhythm of the reel. everything seemed really slow after the fast pace of the rap video.

Yeah, the reel is slow. You do great work, but you show us too much of it. Show it, get the point accross and then move on.

And the audio isn't working. It's cool and all, but just too distracting.

Thanks for the feedback so far ;:_

i just wanted to try a different approach.
for me the combination of text and video was very
interessting, but maybe i am just to familiar with my
own material.... for somebody who does not know
the music, the text and the images its to much at once..

@mofresh
the rap artist is called azad , a local artist from frankfurt germany.

Pretty good stuff there.. i like the music choice in this one.. i remember seeing that persistant panning shot day at the park video in full when you first completed it and thought it was pretty innovative..

good luck in barcelona.. .moving there because of a new job from showing off this reel?

I'm digging the new work you've done since last year <--2 years ago... DAMN ;)

REALY like the work with the ink in the first shot and the one where the girl turns her head toward the cam.. very slick integration..

overall it's really good to see how much you've improved since the last demo.. tons of new work always gets your creativity flowing..

still in barcelona?

only constructive criticism that I could say is that the soccerball stuff at the end, like the last 3 shots of your reel, just don't feel like they fit in..
they don't feel as polished, like they were student work compared to the rest of the career work throughout the reel..

great job though..

who's the artist on that track.. i'm diggin..
