Hello , I recently saw someone use a plugin in AfterEffects where a camera could move around in 3D space and within a sort of sky atmosphere. Im guessing it is some sort of Dome with a sky texture applied to it.

 

 

He then used plexus to create lines and zoomed around these.

 

Would anyone know the effect Im talking about?

You can always use CC sphere or distortion effects like Optics compensation to mimic spheroid skies. I use that al lthe time and it's free...
