Updated Gmunk work. He's really quite good, and he's gotten better. I wasn't close to being sold on his stuff, Finn or not, until I saw his reel here:

As an extra bonus, you don't have to deal with his website, which, for all that it's hilarious, is like navigating the Cu Chi tunnels.

Coincidentally, it's also Justin Hardin's rep.

What strikes me is how the work has shifted from 'totally out there' to more grown up, yet more 'mainstream' work. Not that that's bad, it's just interesting to see all the kids who were doing crazy stuff two years ago are now getting corporate assignments and doing it well.

BTW, thx for the tip on that agency, it seems there are some reels on there from ppl without sites of their own, meaning it's getting it's own thread

GMUNK update. Interesting way of describing his role in the projects shown on his reel. I'm not sure how useful it is, because extracting useful information from it is akin to doing taxes, but it is interesting.

Am I missing something or is the showreel the only thing that plays? I try to click on the other projects and nothing happens.

Awesome new reel. Gmunk was like my favorite designer when I was in school. He was also one of the best speakers at the first semi-permanent in sydney. I wanted to be like him then and I want to be like him now :)

Finally! A friend of mine works at a bar where they have monitors with the Bacardi animation looping all the time. It's so good I wouldn't even notice the girls at the bar...Everytime I go there I can't take my eyes off it. Now I know who did it. Excellent work!

He's good, I think he's taking the corporate stuff and giving it that beauty pass that needed, not trying to fit it cray graphics where they're not needed, crazy wicked stuff!

Is it just me getting a fairly cryptic weird site about "STIFF" Joints at gmunk.com? Maybe its too clever for me, the only clickable thing is a link to flash player 6...

Aha, sure is! I love the data sheet down the side showing what he did on each spot, really clever and useful idea.
