**moved from mograph central**

Hello All,

I am a producer/composer making beat led experiments (glitch hip hop urban style stuff.)
my day job is as an animator in Soho London, so I figured I would marry my two skills.

I have done a few bits for ad agencies and wanted to step it up a gear.

So basically if any of you mographers needed some music for your reel or other non comercial projects then I would do it free provided I can put the finished mograph on my site when I get around to making one. the mograph will be credited to you and the music to me.

you could say it's mutual graphstabation!

If you're interested then mail me info@style45.com

Cheers

Jim

Since the first time demo reel music rights came up (10+ yrs ago), I've heard people mention using some up and coming band/musicians music on your reel as a vehicle to advance the interests of both parties. You are the first person I've seen actually offer to do it. I hope it catches on. Thanks.

Hiya Jim, some nice stuff there. It all seems fairly laid back though ... anything with more of a beat?

:)

[Since you relocated your post]

Ok... I have a question for you:

Why your second track (A dof of the cap...) and the music used at the MGM GRAND web site sounds the same?
Is it a free sample? Just asking... nothing offensive... maybe you have done the audio?... I am trying to understand how these things happen?

For ref:

Hi Symbolic,

Sorry for the delay, I am also an animator and have been busy making maya germs for an upcoming ad.

Yes that sound like the same sample just effected in a different way, because I pitch my music to ad agencies I have to make sure that every thing is legal. To do this I use a combination of playing stuff myself either guitar or piano and using samples, because turn around times and expense don't alow for sample clearence, I buy licenced samples, and in this case me and the mgm composer must have similar taste.

p.s. no offence taken. :D

Hey ratbaggy,

If you want to mail me a breif I will make you something.

thanks for your interest people.

Can I just add this one to this thread as well:

-> CLICK <-

Full electronic music album. Free to download and use non-commercially (or just to listen to, like one of those regular CDs you buy in a shop :)...).

I would appreciate a credit when someone uses it of course... ;)

Works fine here. Maybe the shadow government of Oceania is blocking it because they want you to pay to use Men at Work or Midnight Oil tracks on your reel.

Hello All,

been a while since I've had time to get on here or update my site.:(

but I've been busy which is always good:)

anyway I'm afraid I have taken on a two month project which will require me not to take on any free work for that duration(sorry)
in fact the contract wont allow me to take on any paid work either.

I will be available to take briefs again from the 5th of Feb.

always a pleasure

Jim
