Movies that you watch over and over and over

Recommended Posts

...and over

What are the movies you watch WAY too much? Like, you've seen it a million times, yet somehow you'll watch it again. You'll watch it if it's on TV even if you have the DVD. Then you'll pull out the DVD in a month. Mine are:

Ronin - I'm a sucker for DeNiro and car chases. Makes me want to race an Audi S8 through the streets of Paris.

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - Every time I watch this, I'm still laughing at the point where all the stories converge with the gun fight. And Rory Breaker has some of the best lines of any movie.

Napoleon Dynamite - Yeah, I know.. the obvious mix tape equivalent of the Beatles or ..Beethoven, Side one, Track one of the Fifth Symphony. Speaking of which..

High Fidelity - "It's the new Belle and Sebastian. It's a record we've been listening to and enjoying, Barry. " - "Well, that's unfortunate, because it sucks ass."

Hopefully other people watch movies like this, and I'm just not nuts.

These movies I probably have seen way too many times but would stop work to watch them:

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World - Love Jonathan Winter's charater

Bond - Older ones, anytime anywhere

Cool Hand Luke - Newman

High Plains Drifter & Pale Rider - Love Westerns. I wish they would make more

Alien(s), T1, T2 - Favorite of all time

The Shawshank Redemption -

It's one of those movies that's on TV way too much, but I'll sit and watch every time I come across it. Great movie.

The Great Escape -

Another one that's on TV a lot.

Office Space -

Too many quotable lines to keep track of. I need to refresh my memory every once in awhile.

Mallrats -

This one isn't even very good, but it cracks me up.

And Harry, Ronin is a fantastic movie. I don't have the DVD, but I'll never miss an opportunity to watch it.

Raising Arizona is genius from first frame to last. I have watched it at least 50 times in my life.

TRAFFIC. Although I don't like the Michael Douglas thread in it. One day I'm going to edit that out.

Raiders.

And I'll put in "Heat" for my homie, Tony. I never really got the film (Other than the awesome gun battle scene). But he and apparently many others watch it constantly.

Back to the Future!

A great classic. I still remember going to the theater to see it. I also saw "Explorers" with River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke that week.
