Advice on shaders in C4D...

Maybe you mean how do you apply the same texture to each clone and have it look exactly the same on each clone even when the clones positions / rotations / scales have been modified by effectors?

 

It would be the difference of applying the texture to the cloned object vs the actual cloner object.

 

I.E. if you had a texture flat mapped to the cloned object it would be the same for all cloned objects, otherwise if you had the texture flat mapped to the cloner object, it would spread the texture evenly across all of the clones, resulting in some unexpected results unless you baked the texture to uv's somehow?

 

Maybe this applies to you. Like govinda, destroying cloner objects threw me off a little :)
