cinema 4d - making a product box

Recommended Posts

I am trying to model product packaging onto a simple cube in Cinema 4D. I've been able to apply graphics to different sides of the cube via materials, but its keeps distorting the artwork. I'm thinking this is because the size of the cube is not proportionate to the artwork. I am basically trying to apply the graphics without having the artwork distort. Is there a simple way to calculate the size of my art onto each sides of the cube. Does anybody have any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you need to make selections and flat map the textures onto your cube so you can control the scale and placement more precisely. Either that or generate a proper UV map and texture it that way, but if you are just creating a box flat mapping is way quicker.
