sound effector

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am hoping someone can point me in a direction to research a Cinema 4d issue im having.

My general goal is to use a song to output a value between 65 and 100.

Then I'd like to use that value as the radius of a sphere.

It cant effect the size of the sphere, only the radius value.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I think this is the workflow that best helps you do what you want .

1-Choose the filw you want to use and make sure its in wav format

2-In Cinema 4D apply a sound effector (It doesn't have to be affecting anything)

3-Import the Music file into the sound effector

4-Add an Xpresso tag (It doesn't matter where you put it)

5-Output the effector's weight to a range mapper and that input the range mapper into the radius of your sphere

This video might help you output the sound data because this is the hardest point in all this :

The rest is pretty easy I think and its how I think this can be done<br style="text-shadow: none;">

That looks interesting , I have learned the technique two weeks ago but still haven't done anything interesting with it , But your work gives me some inspiration .

I like the test but you should have added the music for a bigger impact . Either way keep up the good work
