Help converting animated Lathe to animated mesh

So I kind of shot myself in the foot here... and now i'm trying to fix this without having to redo my work. Here's the story:


I'm building a jellyfish rig, and I used an animated spline that undulates like a jellyfish, then I put that into a lathe object. Looks great. The big problem though is I want to use hair to create the little tiny tentacles around the opening of the jelly. To do this, I need to have a point selection, which I can't do because my lathe is creating the geometry from my animated spline. What can I do to essentially bake this animation into an animated mesh and be able to select the vertices around the opening of the jelly while maintaining the animation i've spent a lot of time creating?
